WHAT TO EXPECT
Appointments usually take 1-1.5 hours for horses and 45-60 minutes for dogs. I will take a full history and carry out a thorough postural and dynamic assessment of your animal, followed by treatment of the whole body using a range of manual and electrotherapy techniques, focusing on any problem areas.
I will usually leave you with some simple exercises and management tips to help your animal to progress between treatments. A full treatment report is provided for each session so you can monitor your animal's progress.
Canine appointments take place at my dedicated treatment room just south of St Austell. Home visits are available and are subject to a call out fee.
All animal physiotherapy is undertaken under veterinary referral or approval in accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966. Under no circumstances will treatment go ahead without prior authorisation from the attending veterinarian.
Both the NAVP and RAMP are insurance company approved. Payment is due on the day of treatment or on reciept of invoice, with reimbursement made directly to you by your insurance company. In some cases your insurance company will require a separate form to be completed by the veterinary physiotherapist.
