WHAT TO EXPECT

Initial appointments usually take 1-1.5 hours for horses and 45-60 minutes for dogs. After taking a full history I will carry out a thorough postural and dynamic assessment of your animal, followed by treatment of the whole body using a range of manual and electrotherapy techniques, focussing on any problem areas.

I will usually prescribe some simple exercises and management tips to help your animal to progress between treatments.  A comprehensive treatment report is provided for each session so you can monitor your animal's progress.

VETERINARY REFERRAL AND CONSENT

All remedial and rehabilitative animal physiotherapy is undertaken under veterinary referral in accordance with the Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 2014.  Maintenance and performance management cases may be seen without referral, however notification will be given to the attending veterinary surgeon of my visit.

INSURANCE CLAIMS

Both the NAVP and RAMP are insurance company approved.  Payment is due on the day of treatment or on reciept of invoice, with reimbursement made directly to you by your insurance company.  In some cases your insurance company will require a separate form to be completed by the veterinary physiotherapist.
